Realistic Progression

Had this app for years but this is actually the first time I’ve stuck with it for a bit as I’ve wanted to focus on pull-ups/chin-ups specifically after losing so much ground over the last year and resuming my climbing. So far, the progression is actually realistic and slow because many apps I’ve found, it’s like they think you can gain strength and muscle within 24 hours and I’d get discouraged doing the same week or day over and over. Not this app. For me, when it says a number of reps for pull-ups, I do that number of reps, rest 10 seconds, and then also do that number of reps as chin ups before moving on in order to get both.

But so far, so good. This app is giving me everything I need for this type of workout.

Used this app to help me get into the marines and even tho I’m out. I still use it in my regular workout routine a must have, for anyone who wants to build a massive and strong back!!

Attempted to buy the full experience and now the app crashes as soon as it opens. I’ve tried contacting the developer to no avail.

I was very skeptical of this app but it has worked great. I’m doing more pull-ups than ever before.

I love this app

It’s simple, fun, and it works. Best pull up app period. Only problem is that there’s no “Part 2” - so I can’t advance past intermediate. You make a great extreme version of your Pushups app (Push-ups XT)… why not an extreme version of Pullups, as well, with a specific goal of helping people get to 20 consecutive pull ups? You can do eeeeet!!!!

Not complete - think twice.

There’s a 5 minute warm up and cool down but no regimen. So I paid for an app that just logs your pull up progress and a timer. You can do the same taking notes and telling Siri to start a 5 min or 90 second timer.

If you need to build the basic strength to get to 2 pull ups, look elsewhere. I don’t like to say their promotional materials are a lie, but they are.

Don’t bother. They’ll just take it back

I bought this app. Used it for a couple years. Loved it. Then with the latest updates I no longer have access to anything more than the free trial version. There is no way to restore purchases. There is no way to go back to a version in which I can use more than 4 days of workouts. I just opened it one day and it was all gone. I bought this. One of the few apps I’ve bought. I get updates are necessary, but if you own it it should be yours and you shouldn’t be updated out of ability to use. When a new car model comes out the dealer doesn’t come and repossess your car and make you re buy your car back. Bad business.

Do not buy!

I bought this app in a pack to start working out again. After the last update they now are charging for everything past week two calling it “premium”. I was already past week 2 and now have no access to the workouts. I want my money back.

Pull-ups!!??

I’ve never ever been able to do pull-ups. I got this app and an assistance band and went to town. Slowly I was able to release the resistance from the band, and now I can do 8 pull-ups non assistance. The workouts in this app break you in slowly and work your way up with every workout. Plus I can listen to the music in my iPhone while working out, and that’s a HUGE plus! Really like the app, it’s well worth the $1.99

Loving it

Been doggedly staying with this app. Cranking out 30+ pull ups a day and only half way through intermediate level. Thankful for the systematic approach and that it takes all the calculations for me including rest so I can focus on the awesome pain.

I use this with the easy pull ups bar. It helps me stay on track building strength.

Only a few days in; but I like it! Would be nice to change the number of reps done (if you do more or less than the prescribed amount) so you can look back on your progress.

Really good app if you already can do about 5 pull-ups. If you're just starting out, it still will work but you will have to get some assistance to start. Give it a shot, pull-ups are one of the best full upper body workouts.

Great App!!!

All of the Fitness 22 apps are great. This one focuses on pull-ups and does require you to at least be able to do one to start. Stick with the training and you'll start to see results in a very short period of time. Easy to go backwards too in case you take some time off.

Awesome app

The pacing of the app is effective, motivation badges are rewarding, and I love that I can listen to my music while I work out. I don't need nor want my hand held with a bunch of fluff.

Starts off easy and builds up! Recommend for anyone trying to increase the pull ups in a motivating fun way ! Wished they could include a separate window for chin ups or a whole new app dedicated to that, would even be a huge plus if they added weight addition to it!!!
